I was very pleased with Kindred Hospital. My brother's room, the vending areas, cafeteria and bathrooms were very clean. Most of all the staff were polite and friendly and caring.
Since I live some distance away I was happy to be able to zoom in on the medical meeting in his room discussing his care.
This facility should be shut down and never be reopened. I had to demand several times for my sister’s room to be cleaned, for her to be turned and cleaned, and suctioned. They left instruments and medicine open and out. I even walked into her room and her body was exposed well the door was wide open.
I do not recommend anybody to put their loved one in this facility.
Great day, I have been to many hospital but there is not a hospital like kindred hospital. My family was in kindred hospital for about 3 months with chronic respiratory issues and severe wounds. It’s just so much I can say about this hospital, the cafeteria food was great, house keeping 3rd floor keep her room spotless. The patient advocate is soooo unique and always there to listen and to zoom us in on a call. Dr. Tejan-sie was very gentle with her care and truly had her best interest at heart. We as a whole would recommend kindred hospital to anyone.
Thank you
The past 16 days have been incredible here at Kindred Hospital. Due to a brain injury (hemorrhagic stroke), my mother arrived here, and in the past 16 days, she has made significant progress. She is able to control her head, her right arm and leg is able to move again. At this facility, the staff are friendly and the care and communication are awesome. I would recommend Kindred Hospital to all, if you have a loved one you care about. The facility is clean and neat and the cafeteria food is fantastic. I ate everyday I was there and the food was inexpensive
It is my pleasure to write a review about Kindred Hospital. I visited a first cousin frequently at Kindred Hospital. As a matter of fact, I would spend hours with her, and my experiences at Kindred were very positive. The staff that consisted of the doctors, nurses, CNAs, physical therapists, custodians, cafeteria workers, etc. were phenomenal in regard to care, friendliness, and overall dispositions. The days I walked onto the grounds and entered into the lobby, I was greeted cordially from the receptionist to the staff getting on the elevators. I have mentioned this to several people about how everyone would greet you.
I have never seen a custodial staff that would go out of their way to accommodate visitors. On more than one occasion, I was offered water while sitting with my cousin. They would hold conversations with me while doing their job. They would try their best to make you feel comfortable.
I cannot say enough about the patient advocate who would pitch in and help my cousin anyway she could. I realize that in organizations, there are "divisions of labor," and people work with their assigned roles. What I observed was the patient advocate going beyond the call of duty to assist my cousin.
Several times during my visit, I would go and eat at the cafeteria. The cashier and the serving staff were very friendly and accommodating. I never received any bad food; it was always delicious. I realize that public institutions such as cafeteria workers in hospitals may not get the credit they deserve, but these workers deserve "an applause" for what they do on a daily basis.
On the day my cousin was to move from Kindred Hospital to another facility, she stated that she did not want to move. This speaks volumes about the care and treatment she was receiving from Kindred Hospital. As a family member, it made me feel so good that she felt that way.
I will go as far as to say that from my observations and experiences at Kindred, if I had to go the hospital as a patient, I would not mind being at Kindred Hospital.
Obviously, a lot of training is taking place for the consistent behaviors to occur. I want to say thank you for taking good care of my cousin. In addition, thank you for your hospitality during my visits at Kindred Hospital. May God continue to bless you for serving humankind in the capacity that you do.

Don't believe all the hype. They'll tell you they're long term care, but they're ready to get rid of your loved one after a week! (Seriously, my dad was still in a coma when they started talking about releasing him.) They'll conveniently lose paperwork so they can try to do an illegal release if you don't agree to where they want to send him (which btw, is likely another state like with my dad). The place is nasty! They don't take care of the patients. I've had to repeatedly ask for someone to look at my dad's feet because they are scaly and gross. His fingernails are never clipped, and they have brown gunk caked under them where he's been scratching now that he's awake. I wish to God I'd never sent my dad here....and it if hadn't been for all the lying reviews, I wouldn't have. They start begging you for a 5 star review before they even do anything for your family member, and of course you oblige because they've promised you so much. The longer they're in there, though, the worse the care gets. Now I don't even get included in the Zoom meetings and I get threatened that if I don't comply they're just going to release my dad anyway. He still has a trach, so he still (under Medicaid's own standards) qualifies for LTCH. BTW, Kindred, did you know that the "LT" in that stands for "LONG TERM"? You sure don't seem to! When you find somewhere that you'd like to send your loved one, the case managers refuse to send their paperwork so that your loved one can go to your preferred location rather than theirs so they don't get the kick-back. We've literally been going through a list given to us by my dad's insurance. Multiple places have asked us to have Kindred send his file, but they never receive it. If you love your family member, please don't send them here. They do not care about the patients and only care about the money they're getting from them. Oh, and they'll threaten you if you aren't willing to change your loved one's insurance because they don't happen to like the insurance they have. I could go on for days, but I think you all get my drift. Don't send anyone here!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire Kindred hospital 3rd floor in Greensboro NC.

I want to thank Sheniah and her team. They have been taking great care of my father and are the only facility that I am aware of that have allowed me to do Zoom calls with him as we are several states away from each other. They take the …
